Madi Moves

Madison is still obsessed with gymnastics….so it’s awesome when therapy incorporates her love!

Madi was tired today and is battling a cold… which in the CP world means tighter & less balance on top of the normal joys of kids and colds… but she worked hard at Smile Therapy and pushed through.

Madi, Jack & Nate were at the pool bright and early for their swim lessons this morning. They are all doing so well and love being little fish!

After swimming, everyone went out for breakfast to celebrate Uncle Marks Birthday. We are a week early, but with everyone’s busy schedules- today was the day.

After breakfast it was off to the mall to shop for Papa’s new phone!

When Madi got home she had physio with Claire. They did good work and then Madi was ready for some dinner and then bed.

Madison was super excited to go to her first sports camp at Variety Village for her PA Day. She played games in the gym, swam for over an hour and watched a movie after lunch. She was completely exhausted from all the activity but loved it. A special thanks to Cathy for checking in on Madi throughout the day and sending Mommy lots of pics!

After camp, Madi went to see her orthotist Eric. He measured and casted her for some new braces since she is growing super fast. Madi is undecided on the design but she has some time to figure it out.

March of Dimes was cancelled today so Madison went to school for the day. After School Madison spent time with Janine and Suzanne and did different exercises like yoga poses, ballet moves and gymnastics skills. Madison was a great teacher and loved being active with her aunts.

Madi, Jack & Nana spent their afternoon playing in the snow, making cookies and holding down the fort while Mommy & Daddy were out. Thanks Nana!

Madi and Mommy ventured through the snow to Vaughan to work with Jo-Anne at Smile Therapy For Kids. Check out those splits!

Madi and Jack were super excited to be back in the pool this morning for their winter swim session with Ryan & Patricia. To add to the excitement, Nate joined them for his first swim lesson… the three musketeers in the water together…. Sundays are going to be fun!

Madi and Jack were up bright and early for snuggles and iPad time with Aunt Emily who is visiting for the weekend.

Madi was back at Smile Therapy this morning for some strength training while Jack was at his first Little Kickers soccer class. He loved it!

On the way home, Jack went for a haircut… his 2nd Birthday is approaching and he was due for a trim.

After a morning of exercise, Madi and Jack had a fun afternoon of playing which included baking cookies and making ice cupcakes for the snow elves in the backyard.
